Kiera is my light and joy.

When I became the mother to a deaf child, I remember asking so many questions about how I could provide a language-rich environment. I wondered if anything I did would contribute to her language development. It was only through early intervention services along with a parent network, workshops and research that I overcame my doubts.

There are countless parents out there in the same situation with their deaf or hard of hearing children. Rather than having them try to wade through website after website and possibly feeling even more overwhelmed, I’d like to serve as a resource-- from a parent to another-- and share recommended information. This website provides resources and awareness about bilingualism in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, early intervention, and fun literacy activities for the home.

It can be overwhelming trying to find the right resources for you and your child. Below are a few of my favorite resources.
